In these two-dimensional collages, I strive to transcend the descriptive naturalism of my earlier botanical work. To this end, I have enjoyed the distillation of complex form and employed a variety of stylized idioms. This has led to a playful marriage of complementary pictorial languages and increasingly abstract solutions.
